Job summary

VA White River Junction Healthcare System is seeking a Physician - Primary Care in the WRJ area. The role focuses on coordinating outpatient care within the VHA Primary Care Medical Home model, evaluating and treating a mix of acute and chronic conditions, and providing comprehensive documentation and patient education.

Responsibilities include prescribing, ordering tests, and collaborating with NPs/PAs. Schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with participation in ongoing

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• MD or DO degree.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.
• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for a panel of outpatients in the Primary Care Medical Home model.
• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic health problems in clinic.
• Perform histories and physical exams and document findings.
• Prescribe medications and order labs/imaging as appropriate.
• Provide patient education and preventive care.
• Supervise and mentor nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
