Job summary

Optum is seeking a physician to deliver patient-centered, value-based care in an outpatient setting in California. You will work with integrated clinical teams to improve health outcomes and provide high-quality care to adults and seniors.

Responsibilities include consultations, well-checks, screenings, and coordinating with nursing staff. The role supports professional development and competitive incentives within OptumCare.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and residency completed in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or board-eligible for residents.
• Active and unrestricted California medical license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Current California DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct consultations, follow-up appointments, well-checks, and schedule screenings.
• Care for adults and seniors.
• Dedicated support staff of nurses and medical assistants.
