Job summary

The largest provider of primary care in Shelby County seeks a Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine/Internal Medicine) for a full-time role in Memphis, TN. The position emphasizes holistic care for marginalized patients with benefits including loan repayment assistance, CME funds, and comprehensive benefits.

Physicians will have Tennessee licensure, DEA authorization, CPR, and ACLS if applicable. Liability coverage is provided and time off includes 4 weeks per year plus 11 holidays.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee state medical license.
• DEA certificate valid for prescribing controlled substances.
• CPR certification current.
• ACLS within 12 months of employment, if appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a treatment plan.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with Tennessee statute and guidelines.
• Perform minor surgical procedures.
• Coordinate referrals for patients.
• Review lab, x-ray and EKG results; ensure timely follow-up.
