Department of Veterans Affairs in West Los Angeles seeks a Full-Time Primary or Family Care Physician to join the National Center for Warrior Independence (NCWI) and provide comprehensive outpatient care to Veterans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with NPs and PAs, chronic disease management, preventive care, and participation in national quality initiatives to enhance access and Veteran care across VA systems.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent medical degree required.
  • Board Certification or eligibility required/appropriate licensure.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active license.
  • Capability to practice in outpatient primary care within VA system.

Responsabilités

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary and acute care.
  • Manage chronic diseases and provide preventive healthcare.
  • Conduct history-taking, examinations, diagnoses, treatments and consultations.
  • Offer same-day care and coverage for other PACT providers.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement.
  • Support VA performance measures, systems redesign, and advanced access initiatives.
  • Improve clinic operations and Veteran care with supervisory staff.
