Job summary

AdventHealth Primary Care Network in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Board-certified or Board-eligible Family or Internal Medicine physician to join our team and provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care across the lifespan.

You will deliver independent and collaborative medical management for acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret diagnostics, monitor treatment plans, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or board-eligible if certification can be obtained before hire
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain before hire
• DEA license or ability to obtain before hire
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APRNs & PA-Cs)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care from pediatric to geriatric patients, including women’s health
• Deliver independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including labs and imaging
• Monitor treatment plans and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
• Provide clinical supervision to Advanced Practice Providers and care teams to ensure high-quality care

Education

Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Active Florida medical license

DEA license or ability to obtain

BLS required; ACLS preferred
