Job summary

Rockbridge Area Health Center in Lexington, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Physician to join our primary care team. You will practice as part of an integrated, patient-centered care model with physicians, advanced practitioners, behavioral health professionals, and care managers to address the whole health of our patients.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Virginia license to practice medicine, or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure.
• Board certified or board eligible in the applicable field of practice.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
• Eligible to participate in Medicare and Medicaid
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands‑on practicum

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
• Address the whole health of patients through collaboration with physicians, APRNs, behavioral health professionals, dietitians, and care managers.
• Contribute to quality improvement and maintain NHSC site standards.
