Job summary
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) within the Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Primary Care Physician for the Fayetteville VA Coastal Health Care System in North Carolina. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive primary care to Veterans enrolled in the team.
Responsibilities include patient assessment, preventive care, acute and chronic condition management, and coordination with specialty services.
Qualifications
- Must hold US citizenship or meet VA non-citizen policy
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine/surgery in US
- Residency training approved by VA or equivalent
- Board certification or eligibility required
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to a panel of veterans in a multi-disciplinary team
- Lead and coordinate care to ensure timely services and patient satisfaction
- Order and interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans and referrals as needed
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in CPRS for every patient encounter
- Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards and VA policy
