Job summary

Cypress-Healthcare-Partners is hiring a Physician Assistant to provide primary and urgent care at our Salinas, CA clinic. You will perform exams across all ages, document health histories, and diagnose both acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with practice guidelines.

You will order tests, prescribe medications per state law, and educate patients while collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Current PA license from the California Physician Assistant Board.
• BCLS certification valid.
• DEA registration within 6 months of employment.
• Proficient with EMR and basic computer skills.
• Spanish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams from neonate to geriatric.
• Document medical history and health risk factors.
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-ray, EKG).
• Provide patient education, counseling, and referrals.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team to plan care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and high satisfaction scores.
• Follow standardized care guidelines in practice.
