Job summary

Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join its expanding multispecialty practice. The role will start February 2026 as we add Primary Care services in Oak Lawn.

You will provide comprehensive care across the lifespan and collaborate with a dedicated nursing and support team. Eligible candidates hold an MD or DO, are board-eligible or certified in Family or Internal Medicine, have an IL medical license, and excel in communication.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Valid Illinois medical license or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the support team.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Contribute to practice growth during expansion phase.

Rush University System for Health, a national leader in outstanding patient care, education, research, community partnerships, and empowering a new generation of health care providers, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join Rush Oak Lawn Outpatient Center, a multispecialty outpatient practice. The practice will add Primary Care services starting in February 2026 as part of the system’s expansion of services in Oak Lawn.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
• Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs. The pay range for this full-time, 1.0 FTE position is $261,000 – $383,000, with opportunities for retention bonuses, sign-on bonuses and relocation allowances. A comprehensive benefits package is also available.
