Mercer University’s Mercer Medicine clinic in Plains, GA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care under physician supervision. The NP will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing/Family Medicine, current NP certification, and at least one year in a general clinic setting. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with immunizations and care coordination among responsibilities.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Nursing/Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner from an accredited institution.
• Current NP certification from ANCC or AANP.
• At least one year of experience in a general clinic setting.
• Certificate of current liability insurance.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prescriptive authority via MD’s DEA or own DEA.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver primary health care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide immunizations, injections, and preventative care as needed.
• Make referrals to medical specialists when appropriate.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and self-care strategies.
• Work independently and collaboratively with physicians under established protocols.
• Enforce clinic health and immunization policies.
• Utilize EMR (Athena) and Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
