Job summary

Cherry Health, Michigan’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct primary care under supervision. You will evaluate patients, prescribe medications, and coordinate prevention services while maintaining comprehensive medical records across diverse ages.

You will work in a team-based setting across Cherry Health sites, participate in after-hours call, and uphold HIPAA and compliance standards while advancing quality

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a physician assistant or as a nurse practitioner in the state of Michigan.
• Board certification or legibility for certification in specialty field.
• Insurable for liability coverage as a physician assistant or as a nurse practitioner in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a comprehensive, compassionate and team-based manner.
• Coordinate and supervise prevention services for patients.
• Prescribe medications, referrals and diagnostic studies as indicated.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
• Promote team-based care with MA, nurses, pharmacists, and behavioral health staff.
• Provide after-hours call coverage as needed.
• Adhere to clinic policies, contributing to quality metrics and compliance.
