Job summary

Tahoe Forest Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for primary care in the Truckee clinics. You will provide comprehensive adult/family care, manage chronic diseases, perform and interpret tests, prescribe meds, and coordinate referrals.

This role requires California licensure as NP or PA, board certification, DEA registration, and BLS. You will document in the EMR, educate patients, and participate in clinic meetings and community wellness activities.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with valid license and board certification (AANP/ANCC for NP or ARC-PA for PA).
• Eligible to practice in California with DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification and clinical experience in primary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide adult or family primary care with or without subspecialty.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and therapies.
• Deliver same-day and urgent care, coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Document in EMR to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collaborate with supervising physician and participate in clinic meetings and community education.
