Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Primary Care team in an outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Primary Care experience as an NP or PA and is committed to delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, documenting care in medical records, and performing supervised exams and procedures. Licensure in Georgia and ACLS/BLS are required as stated.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Georgia license as APRN or PA with ANCC or NCCPA certification.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia.
• American Heart Association BLS; ACLS may be required in some areas.

• Document the delivery of care in the patient's medical records.
• Conduct patient interviews and document histories, psychosocial histories, health status and problems.
• Under physician supervision, perform physical examinations and select diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.

Description

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Primary Care experience as an NP or PA. Prior experience running independent clinic and managing your own patient panel is highly desired. We are looking for an NP or PA who is committed and passionate about a career in Primary Care medicine.

• Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
• Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.
• Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.
• Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.
• American Heart Association BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
