Job summary

BAS HealthCare is seeking Advanced Practitioners for Psychiatry in Mansfield Center, CT. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive care to inpatient children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, ordering lab tests, and delivering patient education.

The ideal candidate is a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least a year of experience in a relevant setting. Exceptional training is offered for both experienced practitioners and recent graduates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care and/or behavioral health psychiatric setting required.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of CT.
• Experience or interest in working with behavioral health patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical exams and medical consultations for patients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests.

Job Details:

• Provide physical exams and medical consultations for inpatient children, adolescents, adults, and residential teenage girls
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including taking patient histories and performing physical examinations
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and data
• Deliver patient education in a group setting
• Provide quality, holistic care for patients, families, and others in the behavioral health arena
• Full‑time position, 40 hours per week, weekdays only
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of CT
• Experience or interest working with behavioral health patients preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care and/or behavioral health psychiatric setting required
• Exceptional training available for both experienced practitioners and recent graduates
