National Church Residences is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality advanced nursing care in the Springfield/Dayton area. The NP will perform comprehensive assessments, order tests, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans under the Director of Operations- Advanced Practice.

The position requires an MSN, NP certification, and current RN license in Ohio with at least two years of RN experience.

PURPOSE

According to prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Director of Operations- Advance Practice, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing nursing care services to residents/clients as assigned, making observations on an advanced level, forming nursing judgments, carrying out nursing actions based upon understanding of the scientific principles involved, reporting and recording observations appropriately. This position provides a part-time schedule, with work hours tailored to the department’s needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Conducts physical exams and comprehensive medical and social history of individuals, including those who are healthy and those with acute illnesses and chronic disease. Makes independent decisions regarding management and treatment of medical problems identified

• Orders, performs, and interprets laboratory tests for screening and for diagnosing.

• Prescribes and orders appropriate diet, medications and other forms of treatment such as physical therapy.
