Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Graham, NC is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our new UNC Health Primary Care at Graham team.

The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver comprehensive primary care, manage chronic conditions, and provide preventive services, immunizations, women's health, and mental health in a patient-centered environment. Licensure in NC required; two years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license (or eligibility).
• Experience with medically complex adult patients.
• Interest in addressing mental health needs in a primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive healthcare and routine physicals.
• Deliver acute, sick care, immunizations, and women's health services.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Order and interpret screening/diagnostic tests and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient-centered outcomes.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

• Demonstrated experience and interest in addressing mental health needs within a primary care setting

  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
