Job summary

FedEx is seeking an intern to work on real-world projects related to data science and pricing optimization. The role involves analyzing transportation and logistics metrics, building automated data pipelines, and contributing to AI-driven pricing and decision systems.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s program with strong foundations in data analysis, predictive modeling, and cloud technologies, and are comfortable working in a hybrid Memphis, TN environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data stack experience with Python, SQL, PySpark/Spark in Azure or GCP environments.
• Cloud exposure with knowledge of GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI.
• Strong background in predictive modeling, price optimization, ML frameworks and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to drive efficiency and control across current initiatives.
• Analyze metrics and data to gain insight into transportation and logistics metrics.
• Present long-term solutions impacting business and customer experience.
• Participate in networking and community service events.
• Assist in building pricing engines and ML agents to improve pricing decisions.
• Work with large datasets to perform data extraction, cleaning, mapping and pipeline automation.
