Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, a leading surface finishing provider, seeks a Billing and Estimating professional in Wichita, KS. You will respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and develop detailed cost estimates by evaluating labor, materials, and processing steps.

You will collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure pricing accuracy and timely bids. This role requires a minimum 4 years in billing/estimating, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in billing and estimating.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and prepare accurate pricing quotes for services.
• Develop detailed cost estimates by evaluating labor, materials, processing steps, and turnaround requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production to ensure pricing reflects capabilities and capacity.
• Prepare and submit competitive, timely bids meeting deadlines and specs.
• Review and validate quote inputs for accuracy and alignment with pricing strategies.
• Maintain pricing data, cost models, and estimating tools for consistency.
• Generate and distribute invoices based on completed work and contracts.
