The Pricing & Profitability Manager is responsible for leading enterprise pricing governance and optimizing profitability across Origence's products, services, and client relationships. This role serves as a strategic partner to Product, Sales, and Finance teams by providing financial insight, evaluating pricing proposals, and ensuring sound, data-driven decision making. The incumbent leads the Pricing Committee process, maintains strong governance and accountability over pricing decisions, identifies opportunities to improve client-level profitability, and translates complex data into actionable business insights that drive sustainable growth, profitability, and organizational performance.

***Please note, this position will follow a Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office/week***

The Origence Mindset

At Origence, we are self-aware, adaptable, and relentlessly focused on creating meaningful impact. We think like owners, embrace complexity and ambiguity, challenge conventional thinking, and continuously pursue smarter, more effective ways to solve problems and advance the business. • Manage committee agendas, supporting materials, decision documentation, follow-up actions, and approval tracking.
  • Ensure pricing decisions are properly documented, communicated, and incorporated into enterprise pricing standards.
  • Maintain the enterprise master pricing file and serve as the primary steward of official pricing records.
  • Promote consistency, transparency, and accountability in pricing decisions across the organization.
Pricing Proposal Review & Business Partnership
  • Review and validate pricing proposals submitted by Product, Sales, or business teams to ensure assumptions, financial impact, profitability, and business rationale are sound.
  • Partner with Product and Sales teams to evaluate new pricing structures, renewals, client expansions, contract changes, and strategic pricing requests.
  • Challenge assumptions professionally and constructively while helping business partners strengthen pricing recommendations.
  • Summarize pricing proposal impacts, key risks, dependencies, and recommendations for committee and leadership review.
  • Support follow-through after pricing decisions, including documentation, communication, implementation coordination, and issue resolution.
Profitability & Business Analytics
  • Analyze product, client, channel, and transaction-level economics to identify margin improvement opportunities.
  • Review client-level profitability to identify pricing exceptions, discounting patterns, underperforming accounts, and opportunities to improve economics.
  • Evaluate pricing scenarios, volume assumptions, cost-to-serve considerations, revenue impact, and margin contribution.
  • Provide practical recommendations on price adjustments, discount strategies, pricing structures, contract terms, and profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor pricing performance against approved assumptions and identify risks, opportunities, and variances.
Business Insight & Decision Support
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and leadership-ready summaries.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand performance drivers, customer behavior, product economics, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop recurring reporting and analysis to improve visibility into pricing, revenue, margin, and profitability trends.
  • Support ad hoc analysis for Finance, Product, Sales, Operations, and leadership.
  • Use data to support fact-based decision-making while keeping recommendations practical and business-focused.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
  • Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, IT, and Data teams on pricing and profitability matters.
  • Build trusted relationships with business partners while maintaining financial discipline and governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify pricing processes, improve documentation, and strengthen handoffs between teams.
  • Drive accountability and follow-through on pricing decisions, open issues, and process improvements.
  • Support the continued development of a more consistent, transparent, and disciplined enterprise pricing process.
