Job summary

WilmerHale is a premier international law firm seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to analyze and report on budgets and pricing for civil and criminal litigation matters. The role focuses on developing practice budgets, standard task pricing, and revenue modeling under the guidance of the PBA Manager or Director of PBA.

Responsibilities include preparing weekly and monthly financial reports, supporting department leaders, and improving processes with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' directly related experience in financial management, pricing, budgeting, data-mining and/or financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop hourly budgets or AFAs for legal matters in collaboration with Partners/matter team.
• Provide pricing support for annual rate renewals and budget estimates.
• Leverage warehoused financial data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Incorporate Outside Counsel Guidelines; notify Partners and update budgets.
• Monitor actuals against budgets and update budgets as needed.
• Participate in firm-wide matter management and revenue budgeting processes.
• Analyze impact of client rate arrangements and scenarios on firm and client.
• Prepare and deliver statistical support for compensation reviews and productivity metrics.
• Provide decision-support to CFO and leadership with monthly reporting and analyses.
