Job summary

Lightera is seeking a Pricing and Forecasting Specialist to drive global price and forecasting strategies for Networking Systems. This remote role designs revenue models, analyzes market trends, and collaborates across Supply Chain, Operations and Sales to optimize profitability.

The ideal candidate has a business-focused degree and 3+ years in pricing/forecasting, strong data storytelling, and proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline with 3+ years pricing and forecasting experience in a global organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral) with the ability to tell a story with data.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a vast array of data and information.
  • Ability to work with various levels of management, technical, and professional teams in a multicultural global organization.
  • Solid business acumen and ability to understand industry, product lines, and customer environments.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • SAP proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to visualize Optical Connectivity Assemblies and Network Physical Layer Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop and analyze strategic business management processes to support sales, profit and growth for Lightera.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to monitor demand and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support 1- to 5-year revenue planning with regional inputs for executive review.
  • Consolidate monthly forecasts and provide KPI analyses.
  • Provide pricing options and margin analysis for RFQs and long-term contracts.
  • Track RFQ results and report trends for stakeholders.
  • Support operations, logistics, customer service and sales planning teams.
  • Develop quotes with a clear understanding of product production constraints.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Pricing and Forecasting Specialist
Norcross, GA
Position Summary:

This remote position is responsible for our global Networking Systems price and forecasting strategies, builds revenue models, and analyzes global financial data to drive business growth. Key duties include market trend analysis, pricing model optimization, and cross-functional leadership.

  • Plan, design, develop and analyze various strategic business management processes and perform critical business planning activities necessary to support sales, profit and growth strategies for Lightera.
  • Aid with sourcing strategy by working with cross functional teams to monitor customer demand, manage product allocation and coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations
  • Support 1 to 5 year revenue planning activities by coordinating regional inputs, organizing and summarizing details for executive review, and documenting final plans for submission to the CFO organization
  • Work with consolidation of monthly forecasts (at required detailed level)
  • Recommend price options and provide margin analysis at the customer and product level in response to RFQs, supply agreements and long-term contracts for the NWS/Premise business
  • Track sales and RFQ results, report on trends and generate KPI analysis and reports for organizational shareholders
  • Provide functional support and coordination to operations, logistics, customer service and sales planning organizations
  • Mechanical abilities and understanding of technical product production is key to understanding quoting and pricing.
  • Other duties as assigned and role requires up to 10% travel both internationally and domestically.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline with 3+ years of pricing and forecasting experience in a global organization.

Additional Qualifications, Certifications and/or Licenses:

Experience in the Telecom Industry and Market, Fiber Optics Industry, and/or Data Center/Hyper Scale is highly preferred
