Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Pricing Specialist to provide data analytic support to the Pricing Analysts, Pricing Manager, and VP of Pricing & Traffic. You will log and distribute RFPs, review RFIs, and analyze shipment data to set up cost analyses.

You will prepare reports on margins, revenue, costs, pricing comparisons, and support the pricing department administratively. The role involves auditing rate accuracy, logging metrics, and assisting with special projects in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and data handling skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication expected.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Omni).

Responsibilities

• Accurately log and distribute RFPs.
• Review and complete RFIs from shippers and 3PLs.
• Analyze shipment data and set up cost analyses.
• Prepare reports showing margins, revenue, costs, and pricing comparisons.
• Provide administrative support to Pricing Department.
• Assist VP of Pricing and Pricing Manager with special projects.
• Verify rate accuracy by auditing pricing post-entry against tariffs.
• Log key metrics post publication.
• Support analysis of customer profitability, yield, and lane performance with reports.
