Job summary

Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ invites you to join the Future Talent Program as an International Pricing Analytics Intern for up to 12 weeks. You will partner with the International Pricing team to design a data-driven framework that quantifies value created by pricing actions across the product lifecycle.

You'll develop methodologies, dashboards, and KPIs, work with cross-functional teams, and help communicate how pricing influences revenue, access, and launch sequencing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's in business analytics, economics, finance, data science, health economics, market access, public health, industrial engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Excel and data analysis
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Preferred: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or R
• Interest in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, health economics, or healthcare strategy
• Familiarity with KPI development and business process improvement

Responsibilities

• Design a methodology to quantify the value generated through International Pricing recommendations and interventions.
• Develop KPIs that measure revenue preservation, value from PAR recommendations, IRP risk mitigation, launch sequencing, pricing strategy adoption, and access outcomes.
• Collect and consolidate data from pricing systems, PAR records, forecasts, market submissions, and business cases.
• Develop analytical models to estimate financial and strategic value created by pricing decisions.
• Build dashboards and reports visualizing pricing impact at product, market, regional, and portfolio levels.
• Map current workflows, identify opportunities to automate data collection and reporting activities.
• Document processes and create user guides for future maintenance of the system.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand decision-making processes and align on success metrics.
• Present findings, recommendations, and prototypes to leadership.
• Deliver final deliverables including an International Pricing Value Framework and a KPI dashboard.
