Job summary

Tecolote Research is seeking a pricing specialist to support the Corporate Headquarters Contracts Department in developing pricing strategies for bids and proposals. The role focuses on pricing models in MS Excel and maintaining documentation for submission in response to RFPs.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in government contracting pricing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across accounting, finance, HR and management.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years' government contracting pricing experience.
• Ability to interface across accounting, finance, HR and management.
• Strong MS Excel, Pivot Tables and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Proposal Development Team in pricing strategies for opportunities.
• Use cost/pricing models in MS Excel aligned with strategies and government direction.
• Support Cost and Pricing Volume development per RFP requirements using Excel/Word templates.
• Create and maintain electronic folders for proposal information and correspondence.

Job description

Tecolote’s Corporate Headquarters has an opportunity if you are interested in a career in Contract/Proposal Pricing. Tecolote is growing and this position will support the Corporate Headquarters Contracts Department in providing essential Pricing support for ongoing and new business.

Responsibilities

• Work with and assist the Proposal Development Team in determining pricing strategies for each opportunity selected for bid
• Use cost / pricing models in MS EXCEL that are in-line with proposed strategies and in accordance with Government direction
• Assist with developing the Cost and Pricing Volume in accordance with RFP requirement using Microsoft Excel and Word templates, supporting schedules and documentation for submission
• Create and maintain electronic folders to warehouse all information and correspondence related to proposal development and submission

Skills Required

• 0 to 3 years' experience performing similar duties in a Government contracting environment
• Ability to interface across functional areas (accounting, finance, HR) and with various levels of senior management
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and computer skills (especially MS Excel)
• Experience in using Pivot Tables, VLookup
• Excellent oral, written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally at all levels
• Ability to work independently under a cooperative work-style/team spirit environment and ability to multi task as required
• Must be a US Citizen

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
