Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Pricing Analyst to develop comprehensive pricing models for correctional healthcare contracts and RFP responses. You will work with Operations, Finance, and Business Development to align pricing with staffing needs, market conditions, and organizational goals.

The role requires advanced Excel, healthcare pricing experience, and the ability to model labor costs, startup expenses, and risk factors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of direct pricing experience within correctional healthcare required.
  • Experience developing pricing models for correctional healthcare RFPs and government contract proposals required.
  • Experience with staffing matrices, healthcare labor modeling, and operational budgeting required.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive pricing models for correctional healthcare RFPs, renewals, rebids, and expansions.
  • Analyze RFP specifications, staffing matrices, historical utilization, and service requirements to build cost projections.
  • Prepare detailed labor models including wage assumptions, shift coverage, overtime considerations, relief factors, and overhead.
  • Ensure pricing aligns with compensation structures, market data, and staffing strategies.
  • Conduct financial analysis related to profitability, margins, startup costs, and long-term sustainability.
  • Identify financial risks, pricing gaps, and operational assumptions.
  • Evaluate startup costs, transition planning, and risk factors in pricing models.
  • Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for staffing and market changes.

The RFP Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and financially sound pricing proposals for correctional healthcare contracts in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other business development opportunities. This role serves as a key partner to Business Development, Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and Executive Leadership to ensure pricing strategies align with operational capabilities, market conditions, staffing models, and organizational financial goals.

RFP Pricing & Financial Modeling
  • Develop comprehensive pricing models for correctional healthcare RFP responses, renewals, rebids, and expansion opportunities.
  • Analyze RFP specifications, staffing matrices, historical utilization, service requirements, and operational assumptions to build accurate cost projections.
  • Prepare detailed labor models including wage assumptions, shift coverage, overtime considerations, relief factors, agency usage assumptions, benefits costs, and operational overhead.
  • Ensure pricing aligns with company compensation structures, market wage data, and operational staffing strategies.
  • Conduct financial analysis related to profitability, margin performance, startup costs, and long-term sustainability of proposed contracts.
  • Identify financial risks, pricing gaps, and operationalassumptionsthat may impact proposal viability.
  • Analyze and incorporate startup costs, implementation expenses, transition planning assumptions, and operational risk factors into pricing models.
  • Evaluate contractual penalty exposure, liquidated damages provisions, staffing compliance requirements, and performance guarantees to assess financial risk associated with proposed contracts.
  • Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis related to staffing, utilization, inflation, turnover, and market fluctuations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Recruiting, Finance, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to validate staffing assumptions and operational feasibility.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting and HR teams to assess local labor market conditions, wage competitiveness, and anticipated hiring challenges.
  • Participate in bid strategy discussions and provide recommendations regarding pricing structure, staffing efficiencies, and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with Proposal and Business Development teams to ensure pricing narratives and assumptions are accurately reflected in proposal responses.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to validate startup planning assumptions, operational deployment costs, and site-specific implementation risks.
Market & Industry Analysis
  • Maintain current knowledge of correctional healthcare industry trends, staffing models, reimbursement structures, and labor market conditions.
  • Monitor market compensation trends for clinical and operational positions across multiple geographic regions.
  • Analyze competitor pricing trends and industry benchmarks where available.
  • Evaluate financial impact of regulatory requirements, staffing mandates, and operational changes impacting correctional healthcare contracts.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare pricing summaries, executive-level financial overviews, and supporting documentation for leadership review and approval.
  • Maintain organized pricing files, templates, assumptions, and historical bid data for future reference and analysis.
  • Assist in post-award financial transition reviews and operational handoff processes.
  • Support leadership with ad hoc financial modeling, staffing analysis, and contract-related reporting as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What we Ask of YOU
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Sales, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training may be required depending on the function (e.g., Certified Human Resources Professional (PHR) for HR roles, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for Finance roles, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the specific functional area (e.g., HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of direct pricing experience within correctional healthcare required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing pricing models for correctional healthcare RFPs and government contract proposals required.
  • Experience working with staffing matrices, healthcare labor modeling, and operational budgeting required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach, build relationships, and support sales pipeline management.Experience in healthcare, correctional healthcare, or a regulated industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in applying function-specific skills (e.g., employee relations for HR, financial reporting for Finance, or sales strategy for Sales) is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry-specific regulations, compliance standards, and best practices may be required, particularly for roles in highly regulated functions like HR and Finance.
  • Relevant industry certifications based on the role (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, CPA, etc.).
  • Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved), if role is located in a correctional facility.
