Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Pricer in Pueblo, CO to price and position department merchandise for maximum value. You will maintain seasonal ranges, stock shelves, and assist customers on the sales floor.

The role requires awareness of trends, teamwork, and the ability to adapt prices based on sales velocity, while ensuring on-floor attractiveness.

Responsibilities

• Achieves department sales targets by reviewing weekly targets with store manager and supervisor.
• Maintain target price per item according to price grid.
• Supply store with merchandise by sorting, hanging, and pricing donations.
• Display merchandise in designated sales floor areas.
• Ensure adequate daily merchandise supply for assigned departments.
• Keep production area clean and stocked.
• Adjust merchandise prices to maximize value when stock turns slow or fast.
• Keep sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise.
• Recognize seasonal merchandise and label storage boxes accordingly.
• Assist with customer service.
• Perform other duties as directed, including tasks outside primary area.

Position Description

Job Title: Pricer

FLSA Status – Non Exempt

Summary

Prices assigned departmental merchandise to receive maximum value. Maintains merchandise on the sales floor. Ensures an adequate supply of seasonal merchandise by sorting out-of-season merchandise. Reports directly to assistant store manager or the he Store Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieves assigned department’s sales targets by:
  • Reviewing department sales targets weekly with the store manager and supervisor
  • Maintain target price per item
  • Using the price grid as a guideline in departments.
• Supplies the store with merchandise by sorting, hanging, and pricing donations for assigned departments.
• Displays merchandise in designated area(s) on the sales floor.
• Supplies a sufficient quantity (according to performance standards) of merchandise daily to assigned departments.
• Assures the production department is clean and materials are stocked.
• Adjusts merchandise prices up or down to achieve maximum value, when merchandise is not selling, or is selling to quickly.
• Keeps sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise.
• Ensures an adequate supply of seasonal merchandise by recognizing seasonal merchandise, placing it in storage boxes and properly labeling the storage boxes.
• Assists with customer’s service.
• Performs other duties and special assignments as directed, including assignments which may be outside the [primary area of employment.

Physical Demands

• Works inside in a production and retail environment.
