The AutoMist Technician role performs scheduled hood and exhaust system cleaning for restaurants and commercial kitchens, ensuring compliance with NFPA 96 and safety guidelines while maintaining company equipment to high standards. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently in the field,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in commercial hood cleaning, fire protection services, or related fields preferred.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 96 standards or training provided.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled commercial kitchen hood and exhaust system cleaning services monthly and quarterly inspections on the AutoMist system.
• Ensure compliance with fire protection and safety requirements, including NFPA 96.
• Inspect exhaust systems and document deficiencies for management and customer review.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions in the field.
• Safely install new systems and de-install equipment at customer locations.
• Complete work orders and digital documentation using company mobile apps.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in safe, functional condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and company SOPs.
• Provide professional communication to restaurant staff and provide training.
• Participate in monthly travel assignments, including occasional overnight stays.
