Job summary

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician on the 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). You will perform PM tasks, coordinate downtime with production, and help develop robust maintenance plans to minimize breakdowns.

The role requires 3-5 years PM maintenance experience, ability to read drawings and blueprints, and strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills. Company offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years PM maintenance technician experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics as needed.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and return to operational condition.
• Must be able to manipulate and operate tools and lift at least 30 lbs.
• Must use PPE and follow OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks: lubrication, calibration, cleaning, and parts replacement as needed.
• Enter repair actions accurately into the maintenance program as they occur.
• Receive and prioritize machine PM actions for assigned area.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform PM tasks.
• Document work in the maintenance system and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain accurate spare parts inventory for PM tasks.
• Clock in/out per company policy.

Job Summary

The preventative maintenance technician will play a critical role in completing on time PM's utilizing our maintenance program.

This position will work with production to coordinate downtime to complete PM's to proactively address and mitigate equipment breakdowns.

Will work with Maintenance Supervisor and PM Planner to review and develop robust and effective PM's.

What you will be doing

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks including, lubrication, calibration, cleaning, and work with maintenance technician on the replacement of parts when identified as faulty.
• Make accurate inputs of repair actions into the maintenance program via keyboard entry as they occur.
• Receive and prioritize machine PM actions for assigned area.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform PM's.
• Utilize the maintenance system to document work done for the PM.
• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts to complete assigned PM's.
• Utilize the Clock in/out system accurately per company policy.

What you will bring along

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years PM maintenance technician experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams.
• Ability to find, locate and read blueprints and schematics as needed.
• Ability to quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and return to operational condition.
• Ability to perform adequate manipulation and display the manual dexterity required to operate all tools required to affect a proper repair action.
• Ability to perform all bending, twisting, and reaching motions to manipulate a load of at least 30 lbs.
• Must be capable of using all personal protective equipment required to perform the maintenance tasks required.
• Must use all standard electrical and machine safety practices recommended by OSHA.
