Tech Systems is seeking a Security Systems Maintenance Technician to independently perform preventive maintenance inspections, testing, and basic troubleshooting of electronic security systems at customer locations throughout an assigned territory. Qualificações

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, electronics and low voltage education required.
• Experience: 1 year minimum security systems installation/service experience.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good hand and power tool knowledge.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections of electronic security systems at customer locations.
• Test, inspect, and verify proper operation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and related systems.
• Identify equipment deficiencies, performance issues, and maintenance concerns before they fail.
• Document inspection findings and communicate recommendations for repairs or action.
• Complete inspection reports, service documentation, and customer records accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding system conditions and service needs.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, wiring, and connected devices when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional onsite presence as Tech Systems’ representative.
• Manage assigned service territory and daily workload with minimal supervision.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

General Description Tech Systems is seeking a Security Systems Maintenance Technician to independently perform preventive maintenance inspections, testing, and basic troubleshooting of electronic security systems at customer locations throughout an assigned territory.

This is a field-based position for a technician who enjoys working independently, managing their daily schedule, and building strong customer relationships. The role focuses on maintaining critical security infrastructure and ensuring customer systems remain operational and reliable.

Technicians in this position work with a variety of technologies, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, infant protection, and other low-voltage security systems.

Position Responsibilities And Expectations

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections of electronic security systems at customer locations.
• Test, inspect, and verify proper operation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and related systems.
• Identify equipment deficiencies, performance issues, and maintenance concerns before they result in system failures.
• Document inspection findings and communicate recommendations for repairs or corrective action.
• Complete inspection reports, service documentation, and customer records accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding system conditions, service needs, and customer concerns.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, wiring, and connected devices when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional presence while serving as a primary onsite representative of Tech Systems.
• Manage assigned service territory and daily workload with minimal supervision.
• Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures.

This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position under Company policy. Employees in this role perform duties where impaired performance could result in a significant risk of harm to themselves, coworkers, clients, or the public. This position is subject to the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, including drug and alcohol testing, as permitted by applicable law.

Minimum Qualifications

• EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics and low voltage education required.
• EXPERIENCE
• Minimum one (1) year installation and/or service experience of security systems or related fields.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCY
• Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, working knowledge of Microsoft based products (such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook), Smartsheet and IT skillset with understanding of best practices when it comes to IP systems.
• Must have a good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, including sense of urgency when attending to customer needs.
• Strong time management skills, including ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently.
• Excellent communication skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to manage and interact effectively and in a supportive manner with Tech Systems’ staff, vendors, and customers and ability to work with and build teams of employees.
• Observance of all safety regulations and rules and ability to work in a safe and cautious manner.
• Demonstrates a commitment to safe work practices by complying with all Company safety policies and procedures and performing work in a manner that protects employees, customers, and the public.
• DRIVER’S LICENSE
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a clean driving record, satisfactory to Tech Systems’ automobile insurance carrier.

Job duties are performed at client sites. The job does require regular physical activity, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting objects weighing more than 50 pounds, and using hands to manipulate, install, or disassemble objects. Job duties may involve exposure to some hazards, such as electricity, electrical wiring, and other similar conditions. The job requires driving and other travel.
