We are seeking an organized, hands‑on Preventative Maintenance Lead Tech to own the health and reliability of our fleet of robotic welding systems. Sitting at the center of our fleet maintenance operations, you will build and manage the preventative maintenance (PM) schedule, ensure a 90%+ completion rate, train new Fleet Techs, and serve as the critical link between the field and Engineering. You will convert real‑world floor feedback into Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) that directly improve system robustness and long‑term performance.
Build, own, and distribute the preventative maintenance schedule across the fleet, assigning tasks to Fleet Techs to maintain a 90%+ PM completion rate
Perform hands‑on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of robotic welding equipment
Teach, onboard, and mentor new Fleet Techs on standardized PM procedures and best practices
Serve as the primary liaison between the field and Engineering by submitting well‑supported Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and partnering on hardware improvements
Record, analyze, and track PM maintenance data to identify trends, mitigate cell risks, and inform engineering‑driven issue resolution
Communicate PM status, schedule changes, and technical risks clearly to fleet leadership, technicians, and engineering stakeholders
Collaborate with engineering to continuously refine, update, and improve PM procedures and documentation
Hands‑On Technical Expertise: Mechanically and electrically inclined, with experience maintaining or repairing industrial, robotic, or automation equipment
Organized Program Owner: Strong organizational skills with the ability to build, track, and prioritize recurring schedules across multiple sites and technicians
Cross‑Functional Communicator: Clear and confident communicator skilled at translating technical floor feedback between field techs and engineering teams
Technical Background: Technical training, Trade School certification, Associate degree in Engineering Tech, or equivalent practical industry experience
Data‑Driven Problem Solver: Comfortable reading maintenance data and utilizing trend analysis to drive continuous operational improvements
Mentor Mindset: Proven experience or strong interest in training, onboarding, and supporting junior technicians
Field‑Ready: Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, and willing to travel to customer sites as needed to support PM schedules and fleet requirements
