Job summary

Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of our facilities and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, boilers, and generators, while working with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly, maintain accurate maintenance records, and uphold safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, and generators.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance team members.
