Job summary

Waukesha-Pearce Industries in Kenner, LA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for full-time, on-site work performing preventative maintenance on construction and mining equipment and engines. You will follow manufacturer schedules and assist senior PM Technicians as needed.

This role requires a High School diploma, at least 2 years in a preventive maintenance or similar role, a mechanical aptitude, a valid drivers license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Perform Preventative Maintenance on construction type equipment.

• Make sure that the work site space that was utilized is cleaned after every job is finished.
• Must take advantage of all service schools and training programs that are offered by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Scope of Work: Perform maintenance and inspection of construction and mining equipment, engines, or other assets as assigned. Maintenance is to be performed as defined by each manufacturer’s recommended schedule. Dispose of waste oils, fluids, and filters in accordance with State and Company regulations. Assist senior level PM Technicians wherever required and observe closely to gain knowledge.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s)

• Must have a understanding of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives.
• Must have a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier.
• Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by the Department of Transportation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend and twist several times a day.
• Must have the ability to affectively and safely operate and test equipment.

Working Conditions

• Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Weekend hours as necessary.
• May require work in inclement weather conditions and/or hazardous work environments.
• Some temporary adjustments to hours of operation, as work requires.
