Job summary

Bavarian Inn Restaurant – Team Services Office in Frankenmuth, MI invites part-time hosts to bring their Bavarian pretzel experiences to life. You’ll lead Pretzel Rolling Experiences, oversee tasting events, and help with setup and cleanup.

Experience is flexible; you can pick shifts that fit your schedule, with opportunities for additional hours in other areas of the restaurant. Most experiences last about 3 hours and require standing and light lifting.

Qualifications

• Must be an engaging, natural entertainer who can speak to groups in character.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage an experience from setup to clean-up.
• Hospitality, culinary, teaching, public speaking, or performing experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Host Pretzel Rolling Experiences: greet guests, teach rolling techniques, and present the pretzel story.
• Bake & Deliver: bake and package pretzels and deliver to guests.
• Host Beverage Tastings: lead bourbon, wine, and beer tastings with product knowledge.
• Set Up & Clean Up: prepare materials and room before, then clean and reset after each experience.

Bring Bavarian Inn Restaurant experiences to life as you lead guests through our popular Pretzel Rolling Experience, along with occasional Bourbon, Wine & Beer Tastings!

Experiences are scheduled throughout the month, and you'll be contacted as opportunities become available. Accept the experiences that work for your schedule and decline those that don't! Most require approximately 3 hours from setup through clean-up. Hosts must work at least one experience per month to remain active. Additional hours may also be available in other areas of the restaurant.

What You'll Do

• Host Pretzel Rolling Experiences: Prepare the room and supplies, greet guests in the lobby, and welcome them into the experience. Dressed in Bavarian attire and in character, you'll teach guests to roll and fold their own pretzels while bringing the pretzel story to life.
• Bake & Deliver: Bake and package the guests' pretzels after the experience and deliver their finished creations for them to enjoy.
• Host Beverage Tastings: Lead occasional Bourbon, Wine & Beer Tastings while sharing product knowledge, stories, and traditions with guests.
• Set Up & Clean Up: Prepare tables, dough, guest materials, products, and supplies before each experience, then clean, break down, and return the room and equipment afterward.

What We're Looking For

• A natural entertainer! Outgoing and engaging, with confidence speaking to groups, telling a story, and interacting with guests while in character.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable independently managing an experience from setup through clean-up.
• Previous hospitality, culinary, teaching, public speaking, or performing experience is a plus — but not required!

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk for the duration of approximately 3-hour experiences, including navigating stairs and an elevated presentation platform.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., including cases of product and experience supplies.
• Move, set up, and take down 8-foot folding tables and other equipment; bend and reach during setup and clean-up.
