Job summary

Global Edge Software Ltd. is seeking a PrestaShop Developer to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce stores using PrestaShop. You will customize modules, themes, and plugins while implementing secure, scalable PHP applications.

Responsibilities include integrating data sources, building APIs and payment gateways, and extending functionality across Code Igniter, Laravel, and CakePHP platforms. Join a team delivering robust online shopping experiences for clients and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Experience in PHP-based development.
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.
• Expert level understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Good knowledge of web technologies – PHP, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of database languages – MySQL.
• Experience in common third-party APIs, API Integration with PHP.

Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Develop and customize Prestashop Themes, Plugins, Modules and related functionality.
• Create, implement, and customize Restful APIs and Payment Gateways and other APIs.
• Develop and customize web applications in Code Igniter, Laravel, CakePHP.
