Job summary

Wieland is recruiting for a Pressure Vessel Welder (Levels I-III) to join our on-site team in Delaware, OH. You will work from shop drawings and procedures to assemble welded components for final products, following ASME Code safety regulations.

The role requires MIG and TIG welding skills, ability to read WPS and drawings, and a proactive approach to quality and safety. Starting pay is $28.23 per hour, with shift: 2nd shift and training on 1st shift.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of welding experience or related trade school education.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, including reading WPS and drawings.
  • Able to read and apply WPS and drawings; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Weld in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment used for duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.

Pressure Vessel Welders Level I, II, III

Wieland is hiring a Pressure Vessel Welders Level I, II, III.

The Pressure Vessel Welder will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations.

This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $28.23/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday |4:00pm - 2:30am

Training will be on 1st Shift (up to 4 weeks)

Monday Thursday |6:00am-4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Pressure Vessel Welder Responsibilities
  • Follow the production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance with company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.
Level I Qualifications
  • At least 1-3 year(s) experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
Level II Qualifications
  • At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
Level III Qualifications
  • At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
