Job summary

Covestro AG is seeking a Pressure Safety Process Engineer to design and optimize emergency relief systems and support regional safety programs. The role involves collaboration across teams and adherence to industry standards to ensure safe production operations.

The candidate will engage in PHA/HAZOP activities, support documentation, and continuous safety improvements, with opportunities to participate in professional organizations and process safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 4+ years of experience or Master's with 2+ years.
  • TWIC eligibility within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and evaluates emergency relief systems for NAFTA region.
  • Supports documentation of site and regional pressure safety policies, standards, procedures, training, and execution.
  • Participates in Management of Change (MOC) and delivers pressure safety solutions.
  • Supports day-to-day BU operations affected by emergency relief systems.
  • Assists in PHA and TAR activities.
  • Proposes improvements in pressure safety work processes.
  • Participates in HSE initiatives and represents HSE on site.
  • Involves in industry organizations such as AIChE/DIERS, ASME, API.
