Job summary

Sheridan, one of the leading print and publishing service providers in the nation, seeks a press assistant to support routine operations in Kentucky. The role includes jogging signatures and managing skids while ensuring quality checks on the press.

You will work 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime as needed, train other personnel, and keep the press area safe and efficient while upholding product quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate with other staff members.
• Basic reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine press operation, jogging signatures and handling skids.
• Remove skids with a Big Joe and hand truck as needed.
• Lift stacks and end boards, move logs, and adjust stacker via touch screen.
• Train others and maintain a safe, clean press area.
• Conduct basic quality inspections of product on press.
