Job Description

• The position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct image positioning, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production to meet and maintain quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements, with skills to perform assigned tasks.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, settings, and materials needed for successful job execution.
• Skill to make precise adjustments of controls, settings, and perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of minor repairs and routine operational maintenance of press equipment.
• Understanding of the appropriate packing pressure to achieve proper printing pressure for different jobs.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.

Additional Information

All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.00 to $29.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
