Job summary

Zirc Dental Products is hiring for a full-time production operator in a climate-controlled facility. You will tend or operate plastic molding machines, perform quality-conscious hand and machine operations, and help maintain an organized production area.

The role runs 6:00am–4:30pm Monday through Thursday, with starting pay between $17.50 and $19.00 per hour (DOE). Benefits include health and life insurance, IRA match, and PTO, among others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 18+ years old required
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Color vision required

Responsibilities

• Tend or operate one or more plastic molding machines (manual, semi-automatic, or automatic). When tending automatic cycle machines, provide multiple machine coverage as time permits. Remove and grind runners and sprues as needed.
• Visually inspect and sort parts to a predetermined quality level; perform operator inspections per Work Instruction; provide parts to quality personnel for inspection.
• Assemble and/or finish parts by hand or using various equipment.
• Move containers with finished goods to staging/receiving area.
• Maintain an orderly work area and keep it free from unnecessary material; empty trash as needed.
• Report machine, equipment, production or processing problems to supervisor or qualified personnel.
• Actively assist in training others as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment where your contributions make a difference every day. In this role, you’ll tend or operate one or more production machines (manual, semi-automatic, or automatic) and perform a variety of hand or machine operations on molded plastic parts, inserts, and purchased components. This may include light assembly work. You'll help ensure our high quality standards are met by following clearly defined processes and procedures.

Job Details

This is a full-time permanent role with a working schedule of 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday. Starting pay is between $17.50-19.00 an hour (DOE).

Job Responsibilities

• Tend or operate one or more plastic molding machines running manual, semi-automatic; or automatic cycle. When tending automatic cycle machines, multiple machine coverage will be required if time permits. As required remove and grind runners and sprues.
• Visually inspect and sort all parts to a predetermined quality level for flaws. Performs operator inspections per Work Instruction. Provide production parts to quality personnel for inspection purposes.
• Assemble and/or finish parts by hand or using various equipment.
• Move containers with finished goods to staging/receiving area.
• Maintain work area in an orderly manner and to be free from unnecessary material. May empty trash.
• Report all machine, equipment, production or processing problems to the supervisor or qualified personnel.
• Actively assist in training others as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Working towards or have received a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18+ years old
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to see different colors

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in production and/or the manufacturing industry
