Job summary

MCC is seeking a The Press Operator to assist in manufacturing premium labels. The role focuses on running presses, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

This position emphasizes adherence to Job Ticket specifications, daily housekeeping, and timely data entry for material usage and time. Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or GED and at least one year of press experience, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50

• 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant and corporate safety rules and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment with daily housekeeping.
• Make-ready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents for cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
• Perform press-side quality checks for product specifications and visuals.
• Operate press to meet customer specs while maintaining quality, waste, and efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during production runs with color, copy, registration and adhesion checks.
• Complete procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements per BRC standards.
• Complete press makeready efficiently and perform equipment maintenance as required.
• Clean plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricate press.
• Input material usage and time data into GlobeTeks system accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications whilemaintainquality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press makeready’sin an efficient manner.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into theGlobeTeksystem for material usage and time inan accurateand prompt manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
