Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Press / Print Operating Technician to set up and operate press equipment, monitor quality, and ensure production meets specifications.

You will follow detailed job orders, adjust machinery, maintain records, and work safely on a Monday-Thursday schedule from 4:30am to 3pm, with DailyPay available on day one.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; prior production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Basic math to read a ruler and calculate dimensions.
• Ability to operate press equipment and follow production standards.
• Ability to understand verbal and written work orders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment for mechanical problems and refer issues to maintenance as needed.
• Initiate startup and running of jobs according to production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and keep workspace clean for shift changes.
• Complete related logs and paperwork accurately.

Your Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely. Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
• Set up and adjust press equipment for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during job runs. Check the precision of details against specifications and take action to correct any problems.
• Monitor equipment during job runs. Remain alert to mechanical problems and refer issues to maintenance as necessary.
• Initiate the startup and running of jobs according to the production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and keep the workspace clean and organized for efficient shift changeovers.
• Complete related logs and paperwork accurately.

Your Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:30am - 3pm

You Must Have

• Mechanical and technical skills and aptitude.
• Basic math skills to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
• Ability to operate equipment and achieve proficiency through production and quality standards.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Strong attention to detail.

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
• Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
• Regularly moves up to 25 pounds or more, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying

• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Experience in a production-related environment.
