Job summary

MiTek Industries in Edenton, NC is seeking a manufacturing press operator to operate stamping presses and packaging equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure safety, quality, and accurate production reporting while meeting daily goals and assisting mechanics as needed. This role requires reading prints, basic math, and the ability to handle up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Up to 1 year related experience or training preferred.
• Able to read prints and schematics.
• Ability to perform basic geometry and math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Read feeding instructions and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and steel components into packaging containers.
• Strive to minimize product waste and inspect finished products.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels and adjust as needed.
• Complete quality and production paperwork for the shift.
• Attend work as scheduled, including overtime when required.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsA Brief OverviewOperate stamping presses and auxiliary equipment producing metal connector plates and steel components with manual and automated packaging processes.
