Job summary

The Velocity Group, a multi-location manufacturer in Ohio, seeks a Press Operator to run injection molding presses in the Molding department. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will prepare you for accurate, safe operation on high-volume production lines.

You will work across three shifts, with regular overtime opportunities, and support quality through part inspection and adherence to safety standards. This role offers full-time employment and room to grow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding presses according to job orders.

Job Summary

A Press Operator is a skilled worker who is responsible for overseeing the operation of injection molding machines, which are used to manufacturing plastic parts by injecting molten plastic into molds.

Main Responsibilities

• Performs typical press operations
• Execute accurately as well as precisely comprehensive instructions from all job orders
• Establish and adapt press for job runs to accomplish specifications
• Initiate start ups as well as job runs to be in line with production schedule
• Comply with all established safety guidelines
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or quality control
• Expected to meet production quotas
• Keep track of the number of units that are scrapped due to various errors
• Look over and measure parts with precision tools in order to make sue parts meet pre-determined quality and cosmetic standards
