Job summary

Randstad USA seeks an experienced Press Manager to lead a state-of-the-art metal stamping facility. You will oversee safety, quality, and efficiency across multiple shifts, building a high-performing team in a fast-paced, automated environment.

You will drive lean initiatives, manage KPIs, and mentor supervisors, while collaborating with Quality and HR to ensure business success. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate and a comprehensive benefits package starts Day 1.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive or metal stamping.
  • Deep understanding of lean principles, KPI management, and complex production metrics.
  • Track record of coaching and developing supervisors and large production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations for the Press Department, ensuring smooth production flow and high output quality.
  • Team Development: Mentor Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to cultivate a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.
  • Performance Optimization: Drive KPI management and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen/Kobetsu).
  • Strategic Planning: Set and track production goals, monitor efficiency targets, implement countermeasures for risks.
  • Collaboration: Work with Quality, HR, and other leadership for alignment.

Are you a leader who thrives in high-volume, automated production environments? We are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenPress Managerto oversee a state-of-the-art production facility. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the safety, quality, and operational efficiency of a high-speed metal stamping department. If you are passionate about lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams, we want to talk to you.

The Role You will lead a sophisticated operation utilizing cutting-edge press and assembly equipment (including large-tonnage presses and automated tandem lines). Your primary mission is to foster a culture of excellence, mentor a dedicated team, and drive performance across multiple shifts.

  • Experience:Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within automotive or metal stamping.
  • Expertise:Deep understanding of lean principles, KPI management, and complex production metrics.
  • Leadership:A track record of coaching and developing supervisors and large production teams.
  • Tech-Savvy:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with production reporting tools.
  • Agility:A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot production challenges in a fast-paced setting.

salary: $80,500 - $82,500 per year

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operational Leadership:Manage all day-to-day operations for the Press Department, ensuring smooth production flow and high output quality.
  • Team Development:Provide mentorship and coaching to Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to cultivate a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.
  • Performance Optimization:Drive departmental success through proactive KPI management and the application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen/Kobetsu).
  • Strategic Planning:Establish and track production goals, monitor efficiency targets, and implement effective countermeasures for any production, safety, or delivery risks.
  • Collaboration:Work cross-functionally with Quality, Human Resources, and other leadership teams to ensure company-wide alignment and business success

The essential functions of this role include:
