Job summary

Dover-Food-Retail is seeking a Machine Operator I to support brake press operations in our Georgia facility. You will set up, calibrate, and run brake presses, and ensure parts meet tolerances using precision gauges.

Responsibilities include first-piece inspection, quality checks, material handling, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Strong reading of blueprints and ability to interpret drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–5 years of CNC press brake experience.

**SUMMARY:**The Machine Operator I will provide support for the press brake operation. Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects more complex machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**Operate multiple brake presses and perform a variety of operations associated with safe and quality production.Responsible for powering up, running, feeding, and powering down the applicable equipment.Measures product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and performs quality inspection of finished product as required by work order.May perform first piece inspection to confirm tolerances and dimensions are within specifications.Perform general clean-up duties of the equipment and surrounding areas.May perform basic material handling duties with the use of manual pallet jack and/or forklift to move material and stage materials.**Essential knowledge & Skills:**Reads and understands standard and metric clue prints.Calculates bend allowances for various material types and thicknesses.Able to stand, reach, bend, twist, sit, and lift up to 50lbs routinely.Ability to use precision measuring tools.Ability to read engineering blueprints.Excellent communication skills.Select the proper punch and die toolingSets up, adjusts, and operates Brake Press to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work, including prototype jobs and new parts.Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data**Qualifications/Requirements:**Minimum 3-5 years of CNC press brake experience.High School diploma or GED**What are the preferred qualifications?**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
