Job summary

RRD Company in Livonia, MI is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist to support its production and manufacturing operations. You will load materials, adjust feeders, and assist with make-ready tasks to keep a steady workflow.

The role requires basic presswork knowledge and safe handling of equipment such as carts and hydraulic feeds. Shifts include 8 a.m.–8 p.m. or 8 p.m.–8 a.m. with rotating schedules; compensation is hourly and aligned with location.

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures learned on the job.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Load paper or raw materials into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running.
• Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper.
• Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation.
• Recycle old/discarded plates.
• Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation.
• Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recylcling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates.

Additional Information

• 1st shift hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m.) on a rotating schedule.
• 2nd shift hours are (8p.m.-8a.m.) on a rotating schedule.

RRD's current salary range for this role is $19.30 to $25.20/hour. The salary range may be adjusted
based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the
future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
