Job summary

Oliver Inc. is seeking a seasoned maintenance professional for our second shift to keep presses and packaging equipment running at peak performance. You will diagnose mechanical issues, fabricate parts, and partner with production to maximize uptime.

The role requires hands-on machining, welding, and the ability to read diagrams and manuals. You’ll supervise when needed, maintain spares, and coordinate with OEMs for repairs. A strong fabrication background is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Certifications for electrical work are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and select repair paths.
• Fabricate parts and perform welding; machine shop tasks as needed.

Our values—passion, respect, and a relentless focus on customer needs—shape how we work and the results we deliver.Role highlightsMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and associated manufacturing equipment.Work closely with supervisors and crews to quickly resolve equipment performance issues.Identify root causes of mechanical problems and select the right repair pathway.Rebuild machinery and components as needed.Research and carry out equipment modifications that elevate reliability and reduce failures.Coordinate with OEMs and vendors on failures, parts, repairs, and process improvements.Evaluate and decide on in-house versus outsourced repairs.Maintain spare parts inventory; vet suppliers on availability, quality, and cost.Design, machine, weld, and fabricate parts to specification.Execute multiple welding processes.Operate machine shop equipment: lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, and more.Assist with facility maintenance needs including carpentry and related tasks.Respond to issues and emergencies during your assigned shift.Perform other duties as assigned.ScheduleFull-time, 2nd shiftOccasional response to equipment emergencies may be required based on operational needs.What you bring5+ years of mechanical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.Thorough understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.Demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical abilities.Track record repairing and rebuilding production equipment.Hands-on machining, welding, and fabrication experience.Ability to run a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, and drill press.Capability to perform various welding techniques.High school diploma or equivalent.Required certifications for electrical work.Supervisory background a plus, not required.Comfort reading/understanding technical procedures, diagrams, and manuals.Clear communicator with production teams, leadership, vendors, and OEMs.Proficiency with math: fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume.Independent, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.Grow with OliverBring your craft to a company that respects expertise and champions continuous improvement.
