Job summary

Arconic is seeking a Press 2 Quality Inspector to join the Extrusion Team in Springdale, Arkansas. The role drives quality of extruded products by applying standard testing methods, maintaining control plans, and coaching others in quality procedures.

Ideal candidates will read drawings, use measuring devices, maintain records, and work across press, saw, and related areas. Safety, teamwork, and adaptability are essential to succeed in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Safety and health requirements must be followed as per procedures.
• Capable of using multiple types of measuring equipment and gauges.
• Able to read and interpret part drawings.
• Keep neat and accurate records of dimensions.
• Able to communicate with Die Correctors, Press Leads and Saw Crew effectively.
• Learn how to operate Press safely and productively.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting regularly.
• Stand in one place for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain EVPM and teach others.
• Use testing techniques and quality tools to reduce variation and support QC plans.
• Test and execute product performance procedures aligned with customer expectations.
• Develop, implement and audit manufacturing control plans and SOPs.
• Develop, communicate and train quality work instructions.
• Maintain records and charts in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Provide samples and documented feedback to Die Shop.
• Demonstrate conflict management skills.
• Flex to other areas of the press, saw and head stretch.
• Obtain Mobile Equipment and Crane/Hoist licenses.

Press 2 Quality Inspector to join our
Extrusion Team based in
Springdale, Arkansas.

In this role, you will:

• Responsibilities as a QC Inspector will include but are not limited to:

• Learn and maintain EVPM (Electronic Visual Process Management) and be able to teach others.

• The utilization of testing techniques and the application of quality tools to the reduction of process and product variation; and to support the development of manufacturing quality control plans to ensure that products are produced to Customers’ Expectations.

• Testing and execution of product performance testing procedures that are predictive of what the customer and end user can expect to receive.

• Development, implementation, and audit of manufacturing control plans and standard operating procedures to which adherence will result in products that are produced to target.

• Develop, communicate and train work instructions for quality procedures.

• Maintain required records and charts in a neat and orderly fashion.

• Provide samples and documented feedback to Die Shop.

• Conflict Management Skills.

• Be able to flex to other areas of the press, saw, head stretch.

• Must be able to obtain Mobile Equipment and Crane / Hoist licenses.
