Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Mail Sorter for our Orlando, FL facility. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with an additional $2.50 per hour for third shift.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work overtime as needed. As a member of our Presort Services team, you will carefully prepare outgoing mail, spot and report barcode issues, and clear jams to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/mail sort roles preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and operational directions in English.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Communicate errors and identify bad barcodes in mail.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams from machines.
• Perform additional duties as required.

You Are

An individual who enjoys a fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company’s success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.

You Will

• Prepare outgoing metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, and good quality barcodes prior to being placed into production
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes found in the mail
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machine
• Perform all additional duties as required

As a Warehouse Mail Sorter, You Have

• Current work experience with Pitney Bowes as a Warehouse Mail Sorter
• The ability to understand and follow safety and other operational directions in English, or translated from English, irrespective of your native language
• The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice
• The ability to be dependable and reliable

Preferred

• Mailroom, warehouse or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Demands And Abilities

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations
