Scecina Memorial High School, an archdiocesan parochial Catholic high school serving grades 9–12, invites applications for the position of President, between March 1 and July 1, 2027. President - Scecina Memorial High School

Scecina Memorial High School, an archdiocesan parochial Catholic high school serving grades 9–12, invites applications for the position of President, between March 1 and July 1, 2027.

A vibrant anchor on the Eastside of Indianapolis, Scecina Memorial is a coeducational Catholic college- and life-preparatory school committed to educational excellence, lifelong learning, and servant leadership in the inspiring footsteps of Father Thomas Scecina. The school is accredited by the State of Indiana and through Lumen Accreditation at The Catholic University of America.

At this important moment in Scecina Memorial High School's history, the next President will have the opportunity to unite the school community around a shared vision for the future and lead Scecina confidently into the next chapter of its story with expanded academic programming for all students. Building upon the school's rich tradition and strong Catholic identity, the President will engage students, families, faculty and staff, pastors, alumni, benefactors, and community partners in advancing Scecina's mission for generations to come.

Founded by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 1953, Scecina has a proud tradition of providing a faith-filled education that offers students unique opportunities to learn, grow, and go forth to transform the world inspired by the light of Christ. Today, Scecina serves a diverse community of more than 400 students, with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio and an average class size of 18. Approximately 80% of students participate in the school's 24 IHSAA athletic programs.

The school is named in honor of Father Thomas Scecina, a World War II Army chaplain whose courageous service and sacrifice continue to inspire the Scecina community. In that same spirit of service, Scecina proudly supports students from military-connected families and was recognized as a 2024 Indiana Purple Star School.

As the school's chief executive, the President provides mission-centered leadership and advances the long-term vitality of Scecina Memorial High School. The President leads and articulates the school's mission and vision while overseeing advancement and development, marketing and enrollment, finance, strategic planning, capital projects, and community engagement. Working collaboratively with school leadership, the Board of Directors, pastors, families, alumni, benefactors, and the broader community, the President serves as a visible and compelling advocate for Scecina and Catholic education.

The President reports to and is evaluated by the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, with input from the Board of Directors.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic who demonstrates a deep commitment to Catholic education and servant leadership; fosters a strong Catholic identity; values the diversity of the Scecina community; and possesses exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A master's degree and/or equivalent professional experience is preferred, along with a demonstrated record of building community, developing relationships, and serving others.
